Public Sector Reform Specialist
An executive consultant in the International Funding Agencies team and specialises in governance, public sector reform and institutional development with a wide experience of working with civil society, government and international agencies in Africa, Asia and Latin America. He is a recognised specialist in the field of capacity building within civil society, particularly for policy, advocacy and institutional development. He has managed consultancy projects working with governments in Africa, and in particular Sudan and Nigeria, to improve service delivery, review organisational strategy and strengthen communications.

Experience

Before joining Atos Consulting, he worked for the International HIV/AIDS Alliance as a Senior Technical Advisor for Civil Society Development where he advised many national, non-governmental organisations and institutions working with communities affected by HIV/AIDS across 26 countries around the world. He also managed major capacity building programmes for an international funding agency and for a partnership with the Ministry for Social Development in Uganda.

Previously, he has worked as an advisor to the Planned Parenthood Association of South Africa, a non-governmental organisation providing sexual health and HIV/AIDS community programmes across South Africa. As an advisor to senior management, he helped turn the organisation around from the brink of insolvency and expand its activities to absorb millions of dollars in new funding to help address the growing epidemic in the country.

Started his career as a management consultant and chartered accountant, providing strategic, economic and regulatory consulting for government agencies, retail, media, energy and utility companies.
